BLS for Healthcare Providers
What's included:
- One and two rescuer CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Bag-valve mask training
- CPR training for victims with an advanced airway
- Relief of choking in adults, children, and infants
- Rescue breathing for adults, children, and infants
- Automated External Defibrillator Training
- The American Heart Association Chain of Survival
There is a written exam and physical skills test required to complete this course.
The American Heart Association certification card for this course is valid for 2 years.
Students will receive a BLS for Healthcare Providers student manual with this course
Target Audience: This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR in a wide variety of in-and out- of hospital settings. They include (but are certainly not limited to) physicians, nurses, EMS professionals, students in a healthcare program at a college or university, and related healthcare professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and others.
